What are the responsibilities and job description for the AVL Technical Engineer position at Life.Church?
The AVL Technical Engineer is primarily responsible for providing continuous support of technical needs for campus teams and during campus launches, renovations and major technical updates. This role will act as a resource to staff by providing education and answering technical questions about organizational systems. This role will provide ticket support from the AVL inbox and ensure all campus needs addressed and resolved by weekend services and Switch. The AVL Technical Engineer utilizes their skillset to deliver outcomes that align with the direction of their team to further Life.Church’s mission and to reach people for Christ.

The AVL Support Team supports all the audio, video, and lighting systems at every Life.Church campus. The team is responsible for the AVL design and implementation for every new campus launch and remodel.
\n- Provide ticket support from the AVL inbox, prioritizing the resolution of all campus needs and issues to ensure they are fully addressed before.
- Switch and weekend experiences.
- Determine equipment needs related to tickets and order equipment promptly to resolve issue; if needed equipment not available in the required timeline, provide a temporary solution to avoid disruptions.
- Review and timely respond to Central and campus team questions on technical issues.
- Coordinate and oversee contractors visiting sites to address ticket requests and support the team's initiatives.
- Provide weekend support through on-call schedules on the weekends and Wednesdays on a rotation basis.
- Proactively foster relationships with campus teams to build relational equity and collaboration.
- Proactively check-in with campus staff to ensure operations are running smoothly.
- Develop relationships with vendors to continuously develop knowledge of Life.Church utilized technology equipment.
- Support project design initiatives related to campus launches, renovations and overall technical updates.
- Collaborate with Central and campus teams to create a list of equipment and coordinate installations with key vendors.
- Support the training and development of campus technical volunteers.
- Provide direction and best practices to contractors.
- Actively manage inventory tracking for Campus equipment, ensuring accurate and detailed inventory information is recorded.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to maintain relationships and partnerships.
- Maintain a systematic and organized approach to completing assignments accurately, thoroughly, and timely.
- Clearly explain complicated and detailed processes in a concise and simple way.
- Ability to self-motivate, take initiative, make independent decisions, and problem-solve.
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment and work independently.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3 years of related work experience.
