**Job Summary:** As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) by providing them with a safe and nurturing environment. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily tasks, teaching life skills, meal preparation, maintaining cleanliness, documenting client progress, administering medication treatments, and attending to medical needs as required. **Responsibilities:** - Support individuals with I/DD in daily tasks and life skills development. - Assist in meal preparation following specified menus. - Ensure a clean and sanitary living environment for clients. - Evaluate and document client progress accurately. - Administer medication treatments following agency protocols. - Attend to client medical needs promptly and effectively. **Skills:** - Experience in medication administration. - Knowledge of social work or nursing practices. - Familiarity with senior care and patient care procedures. - Ability to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards. - Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. - Proficiency in meal preparation and assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). - Compassionate care for individuals with special needs. This position requires individuals who are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for adults with I/DD. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work positively with clients, families, and colleagues, as well as the capacity to remain calm in stressful situations are essential. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, consent to and pass a Federal Background Check, and local DFS Check.
