As a Software Test SME, you will support the U.S. Navy. You will develop, implement, and maintain technical tests of network and cyber security related system. Duties may include defining and specifying the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of government software.
Clearance Requirement:
- Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Develop, implement, and oversee execution of unit and software test plans
- Develop and implement unit tests to verify required functionality of software applications
- Troubleshoot network and computer hardware and software related issues
- Train end users to use and maintain the SABER (Situational Awareness, Boundary Enforcement & Response) system
- Plan and oversee Verification & Validation (V&V) of data models
- Tracing requirements
- Works collaboratively with technical experts, engineers, and technicians to ensure project success
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Security certification or equivalent
- 10 years of professional experience in IT technical support, systems administration or cybersecurity
- 5 years of experience in a software test environment
- Experience with government/DoD systems and security requirements
- Familiarity with industry-standard software test suites (e.g., JUnit)
- Experience with Jira
- Ability to implement STIGs
- Familiar with Linux and Windows environments
- Up to 35% travel
- Regular physical activities such as walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, and prolonged sitting.
- Ability to carry up to 30 lbs. and navigate a shipboard environment.
