Shift Available: Full-Time: Monday - Friday, with evening and weekend coverage (as needed).
Compensation: The average hourly rate for this role ranges from $23.36 to $34.89 per hour, depending on experience. This position is also eligible for commission based on performance. On average, associates in this role are eligible to earn an additional $30,000 - $50,000 per year in commission.
What is your role?
The Sales Specialist is responsible for achieving sales of existing and any planned vacancies in the specified Community. The Specialist must actively participate in the marketing and sales strategies/tactics to achieve the sales/occupancy objectives and all key metrics as defined in the Sales Plan. The Sales Specialist will work in collaboration with other departments as necessary to carry out the day-to-day activities of the Sales Office.
Essential Functions:

- Builds relationships with incoming residents and families prior to move
- Coordinates all aspects of the move with the incoming resident and various departments who support the move
- Develops and implements new programs independently and in coordination with various departments and team members
- Actively participates in the marketing and sales strategies/tactics to achieve the sales/occupancy objectives and all key metrics as defined in the Marketing and Sales Plan
- Coordinates and assists residents regarding internal housing moves, if necessary
- Plans and assists with execution of events
- Assists staff with a variety of projects and requests
- Conducts tours of the facility
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of related experience in marketing, sales and customer service.
- Experience in a continuing care retirement community a plus.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office Products; familiarity with AOD and REPS preferred.
Additional Requirement(s):
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This job operates in an office type environment. Works with equipment such as telephones/faxes, computer, coffee maker, TV/Video or A/V equipment. The associate is standing 25% of the time, however often this is for lengthy periods of time (i.e., events), or walking residents throughout the campus. Maybe required to reach, lift 30 pounds, bend, kneel, stoop, push and pull. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures in the English language.
Other Duties:
All associates are required to complete annual compliance and HIPAA training and exhibit behavior as set forth by the Code of Conduct in the performance of their duties.
