Director of Nursing Location : Twin Towers, 5343 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45224 Position Summary The Director of Health Services, DON is responsible for providing leadership in the development of standards, goals and objectives for resident care. Directs the overall operation of the health services programs in accordance with federal, state, and local standards guidelines and regulations to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is maintained at all times. Here’s what you’re responsible for :
- Provides leadership and management of Health Services resident care and health services programs.
- Develops, maintains and ensures compliance with all facility and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines along with Federal, State and Local regulations.
- Develops and recommends strategies and tactics to ensure highest level care to resident is provided.
- Plans and prepares training and development educational opportunities for Health Services staff.
- Ensures medical, psychosocial, emotional and spiritual needs of residents are addressed by staff and in Plan of Care. Ensures residents are placed at appropriate level of care at all times.
- Protects and promotes resident rights.
- Designated as facility Infection Preventionist; member of QAPI – report on infection prevention and control program on regular basis
