Executive Chef
What is Your Role? The Executive Chef works under the direction of the Assistant Director of Dining Services and is responsible for directing and / or preparing the preparation of food to be served to residents, guests and staff. The Executive Chef is responsible for the efficient operation of the kitchen.

Do you check these boxes?
High School Diploma and Culinary Arts training. A Culinary Arts Degree or certification by ACF preferred.
Serv Safe Certification is required.
A minimum of 3 year related production and supervisory experience in a continuing care retirement community, hospital, hotel, restaurant or similar facility.
Must possess a customer service background and orientation.
HACCP training preferred.
If yes, would you like a position that…
Responsible for the efficient operation of the kitchen.
Plans menus and orders food.
Prepares or directs preparation of food served using established production procedures and recipes.
Follows all HACCP protocols and complies with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene and health standards including daily and weekly completion of logs.
Observes proper food preparation and handling techniques.
Ensures food is stored properly and safely, marking the date and item. Maintains storage areas.
Plans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature and appearance of food are preserved. Completes food temperature checks before service.
Hires, Orients, Trains and Schedules Cooks, Dishwashers and Bussers according to budget. Adjusts schedules to accommodate events.
Interacts with residents on food committees and other processes.
