About The Opportunity
Join our dynamic team at Life Fitness / Hammer Strength as a Quality Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standard of product and process excellence. You'll drive continuous improvement, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the creation of industry-leading fitness equipment. As a Quality Engineer, you'll work with the Quality Manager to develop, implement, and coordinate product and process quality assurance programs to prevent or eliminate defects in new and existing products.

You'll drive continuous improvement, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the creation of industry-leading fitness equipment. As a Quality Engineer, you'll work with the Quality Manager to develop, implement, and coordinate product and process quality assurance programs to prevent or eliminate defects in new and existing products.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective action for process, product, and customer complaint-related concerns.
- Assist Quality Manager in maintaining the quality management system.
- Interface with Engineering, Purchasing, Suppliers, and Operations to ensure transfer to production of new products that are in accordance with the approved requirements. (PPAP’s, Control Plans, Cpk studies, etc.)
- Create and maintain quality documentation such as quality procedures, work instructions, control plans, reports.
- Act as a change agent to drive continuous improvement of Quality metrics.
- Develop training to build quality awareness.
- Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audit finding reports and determining proper corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate as part of the Material Review Board (MRB) to develop and implement methods and procedures for the disposition of discrepant material and devise methods to assess cost and responsibility.
- Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 0-5 years job-related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications
