What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical and Administrative Medical Assistant position at Life IV Therapy?
About Us:
At Life IV Weight Loss, we believe health care should be human—approachable, empowering, and a little bit fun. Our clients are on a journey to become happier, healthier versions of themselves, and we’re here to cheer them on with clinically-backed support, one-on-one coaching, and a whole lot of compassion.
We’re growing fast (like... Semaglutide fast), and we’re looking for a unicorn: someone who can take vitals and tackle an inbox, draw up meds and calm a nervous first-timer.

We’re Life IV Weight Loss, and we’re not your average medical office. We help people feel better in their bodies using science-backed weight loss strategies—and we have fun doing it. We’re currently looking for a full-time Clinical and Administrative Medical Assistant to join our fast-growing team in Adrian, MI.
This is a hybrid role where you’ll be doing a little bit of everything—rooming clients, giving injections, answering phones, verifying insurance, and being the friendly face that clients remember. If you’re the kind of person who loves checklists, cares deeply about patient care, and isn’t afraid to roll with a fast-paced day, you’ll fit right in.
What you’ll do:
- Room clients and take vitals with accuracy and efficiency
- Administer weight loss injections (training provided)
- Assist the Nurse Practitioner with follow-up visits and refills
- Prep charts, draw up medications, and help manage inventory
- Check in and check out clients with professionalism and warmth
- Verify insurance details and update client info in the EHR
- Schedule appointments and follow-ups
- Answer phones, respond to messages, and assist with documentation
- Support with prior authorizations, referrals, and form completion
- Keep things organized, clean, and compliant (HIPAA is our BFF)
What we’re looking for:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent)
- Clinical experience preferred, but we’ll train the right candidate
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and keep cool under pressure
- Comfort with technology and learning new systems
- A positive attitude and a sense of humor are a must
Bonus points if you:
- Are low-key obsessed with organizing supplies and color-coding things
- Can explain the difference between Semaglutide and Tirzepatide without skipping a beat
- Love helping people feel more confident in their own skin
- Know how to turn a stressful situation into a smooth one
We offer competitive pay, 401(k) matching, vision, medical, and dental insurance, paid time off and sick time, and most major holidays off. Plus, you'll enjoy a supportive, no-drama team, staff discounts on wellness services, and real opportunities to grow with us.
A background check and drug testing are required for this position.
If you’re ready to join a team that’s equal parts compassionate, professional, and a little bit fun, hit that apply button. We can’t wait to meet you!
