This onsite position is based in Sumner, Iowa, where you will collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure our vehicles meet rigorous industry standards while supporting our dealer network.
What You’ll Do:
Ensure Specifications Compliance
- Verify that ambulance designs and modifications comply with industry standards (K-spec, NFPA, CAAS).
- Conduct regular reviews of specifications and update designs as needed.
Testing & Validation
- Oversee and coordinate testing for chassis and new product developments.
- Develop and maintain testing protocols to ensure performance, safety, and durability.
- Analyze test results and recommend design or process improvements.
Dealer Network Support
- Serve as the technical expert for our dealer network, providing guidance on product options.
- Assess feasibility and cost implications of requested customizations.
- Collaborate with dealers to identify market demands and propose product enhancements.
Collaboration & Innovation
- Work with engineering, production, and quality teams to drive product development.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions to enhance product innovation and compliance.
- Provide training and support to internal teams and dealers on product updates.
What You Bring
Technical Expertise
- Experience working with dealer networks or in a customer-facing technical role.
- Knowledge of K-spec, NFPA, and CAAS standards and their impact on vehicle design.
- Familiarity with vehicle chassis systems and modifications.
- Proficiency in analyzing technical drawings and specifications.
Problem-Solving & Innovation
- Ability to assess technical feasibility and compliance of new designs.
- Strong understanding of testing protocols and certification processes for vehicles or related products.
Communication & Organization
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently.
