Life Molecular Imaging (LMI) is a global, innovative R&D company focusing on the development and commercialization of molecular imaging radiopharmaceuticals for our approved F-18 amyloid PET tracer Neuraceq® and a pipeline of PET tracers in clinical development. MEDICAL SCIENCE LIAISON – Rocky Mountain Territory
Candidates should reside near Denver, CO, or surrounding area to support the business development needs throughout the Rocky Mountain and western US territories. Territories may be adjusted to support business needs as we grow.
A Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a foundational role within the medical affairs team and provides fair, balanced, and objective scientific information and education to internal and external partners. Will support the commercial sales and operations departments and by working in a collaborative and fully compliant manner.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities (not all inclusive):
- Identify, engage, and cultivate strong relationships with national, regional, and local neurology and nuclear medicine Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), patient advocacy groups, and academic research leaders specializing in dementia care and/or diagnostic imaging to further patient diagnostic outcomes.
- Communicate key medical insights from KOLs, HCPs, and academic research leaders to LMI global medical affairs team to inform refinement of medical strategies or tactics
- Demonstrate excellent presentation skills of scientific and medical data to small and large audiences of diverse backgrounds
- Identify and develop speakers and advocates to support the use of novel imaging tracers in early diagnosis of diseases
- PhD/MD/PharmD degree preferred but will consider other advanced degrees with 5 years of experience working as an MSL within the neurology field.
- 2 years’ experience in the neurodegenerative disease therapeutic area
- Clinical and/or research experience in general neurology or neurosciences with a preferred specialization in Alzheimer’s disease and dementia diagnosis and treatment/care management
- Experience in molecular imaging, radiology, and/or nuclear medicine diagnostic technologies (MRI, PET, SPECT, etc.) preferred
- Experience in cognition and/or neuropsychological testing preferred
- The ability to travel (up to 60%), which may include some weekends)
- Ability to manage multiple projects with varied deadlines
- Knowledge of (i) FDA Guidance, Compliance, and Regulatory proceedings (Code of Federal Regulations – CFR); (ii) guiding principles under the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) preferred.
