Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of our accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Manage all accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Perform general ledger reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare and process payroll, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Xero for financial reporting and analysis.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including technical accounting tasks as required.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review.
- Support public accounting activities as needed, including audits and tax preparation.
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards where applicable.
- Utilize 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry and record keeping.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role in accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of governmental accounting practices is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks and Xero, is essential.
- Experience with payroll processing and accounts payable functions is required.
- Familiarity with general ledger reconciliation processes is necessary.
- Technical accounting skills are a plus, along with the ability to adapt to new software systems quickly.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
