Life Resource Services of Jackson County is a Non-profit 501(c)3 Organization that has a vision to provide a warm & cool and safe place during the daytime hours, as well as help people gain access to permanent housing. We would like to build alliances with affordable housing providers and other organizations that serve homeless individuals and their families. Life Resource Services of Jackson County will link individuals to emergency resources and assist individuals to obtain and maintain adequate financial income through job placement, continuing education or other benefits they may be entitled to.
Overview:
The Day Program Coordinator will work to ensure that the mission of Life Resource Services of Jackson County (LRS) is fulfilled by coordinating the LRS Day Program. The Day Program encompasses meals, showers, laundry, clothing closet, food pantry, resource referrals, and general hospitality offered at the center during business hours.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage front desk of the facility during Day Program operating hours, including answering phones, greeting clients and visitors, and receiving physical and monetary donations
- Maintain professional relationships with LRS clients, identifying client needs and ensuring clients’ adherence to Day Program rules and guidelines
- Facilitate meals for Day Program clients during lunch hour, delegating tasks to volunteers as needed to assist with lunch preparation and service
- Ensure that the facility is clean and organized, delegating tasks to volunteers and/or clients to perform necessary chores
- Refer Day Program clients to Case Manager and/or Executive Director as needed for meetings or in-depth assessments
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Board of Directors
Professional Qualifications Needed
- High School Diploma, College Degree preferred
- Ability to interact with clients, donors, visitors, and partners in a professional manner while serving as a public face of the organization
- Ability to effectively communicate the organization’s mission and strategic plans to donors, volunteers, partner organizations, and the overall community
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Basic knowledge of office computer programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Pay: $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
