Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of client care in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to enhance their quality of life.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safety during transfers.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to hygiene standards and protocols.
- Respond promptly to client requests for assistance or changes in condition.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to acute care settings, including Level II Trauma Centers and Pediatric Intensive Care Units (PICU).
- Knowledge of hospice care practices is a plus.
- Experience working in outpatient facilities or assisted living environments is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team are essential.
- A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others is required.
