Unarmed Security Officer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols.

Duties

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
• Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to detect suspicious activities.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, providing assistance as necessary.
• Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and prevent loss or damage.
• Collaborate with law enforcement when required, ensuring proper communication during incidents.
• Provide first aid and CPR assistance in emergencies as needed.
• Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken in a clear and concise manner.
• Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions related to techniques and security protocols.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is a plus.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with surveillance systems including CCTV is an advantage.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must pass background checks as required by company policy.
• A valid driver's license may be required depending on the location of duties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Night shift
• Overnight shift
• Weekends as needed

Work Location: In person
