Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Community Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for community outreach, educating individuals and groups about available behavioral health services, and generating referrals to our agency. This role is a vital part of our mission to expand access to care and support those struggling with mental health challenges.
Responsibilities
- Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct educational presentations and outreach efforts within the community to raise awareness about behavioral health services available at our agency.
- Establish relationships with community leaders, organizations, schools, and other stakeholders to promote our services and foster collaboration.
- Actively engage with individuals, helping them understand the mental health resources we provide and how they can access them.
- Manage referrals and ensure follow-up to ensure clients are appropriately connected to services.
- Document all outreach and referrals in a timely and organized manner.
- Maintain regular communication with the internal team to ensure seamless referral processing and client support.
- Meet the goal of generating 4-5 referrals per week.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in community outreach, behavioral health, social services, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to engage with diverse populations and establish meaningful relationships within the community.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Passion for improving mental health access and services within the community.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
Compensation:

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
