Duties
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assessments of patients in the field.
- Administer injections and manage medication schedules as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and disease prevention.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
- Utilize electronic health record systems, such as Epic, for accurate documentation of patient care.
- Assist in cardiac catheterization procedures when necessary, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Support patients with developmental disabilities by implementing tailored care strategies.
Skills
- Proficient in medical-surgical nursing practices with a strong understanding of infection control measures.
- Experience administering injections safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities, ensuring compassionate care delivery.
- Knowledge of memory care techniques to support patients experiencing cognitive decline.
- Experience in cardiac catheterization is preferred but not mandatory.
- Understanding of sterile processing techniques to maintain equipment safety standards.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple patient cases simultaneously.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems, particularly Epic, for documentation purposes.
