Overview
The Director of Early Childhood Education is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of educational programs for young children. This position requires a dynamic individual who is passionate about early childhood education and possesses strong leadership skills. The Director will work collaboratively with educators, staff, and families to create an enriching learning environment that fosters the growth and development of students.

Duties

  • Lead and manage all aspects of early childhood education programs, ensuring alignment with educational standards and best practices.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that meets the diverse needs of students while promoting holistic development.
  • Oversee classroom operations, providing guidance and support to educators in their teaching practices.
  • Manage budgeting processes to ensure efficient allocation of resources within the program.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that encourages collaboration among staff, students, and families.
  • Conduct public speaking engagements to advocate for early childhood education initiatives and promote community involvement.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness through assessments and feedback, making necessary adjustments to improve educational outcomes.
  • Mentor and support staff in professional development opportunities to enhance their skills in education administration.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in an educational setting, particularly within early childhood education.
  • Strong background in curriculum development with a focus on early learning standards.
  • Experience working directly with students in classroom settings, demonstrating effective teaching strategies.
  • Knowledge of budgeting principles related to educational programs.
  • Familiarity with education administration practices and policies.
  • Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • A commitment to educating young children and fostering their growth through innovative programming.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a senior leadership team while managing multiple priorities effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.40 - $32.69 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
