Position Summary

This role is responsible for performing R&D, solution design, solution engineering, configuration management, and product management for all Audio/Visual systems within Life Time clubs and corporate facilities. This person will need to be forward thinking, be able to formulate A/V technology strategies that meet or exceed member expectations, business leader expectations, and meet operational cost requirements. This role is highly visible to senior level executives and will require excellent communication and presentation skills. This role will be required to work closely with A/V Specialists and implementation partners to transfer all technical knowledge for successful implementation and centralized support of enterprise-grade A/V systems.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with multiple business leaders within Life Time to understand current and future A/V needs and expectations, formulate ideas, research potential solutions, present solutions to business leaders and choose new systems based on specified performance criteria.
• Perform Research and Development of new systems, determine best solutions to meet business requirements, choose products/systems. Become Subject Matter Expert on all performance criteria and technical requirements for all A/V systems and define configuration and installation requirements. This includes systems such as DirecTV, SMATV, Digital Signage, 70V, and 8ohm audio systems, and microphone systems. Provide complex technical installation support to field technicians. Create Scopes of work, Bill of materials, and System Schematics via CAD or alt. drafting software.
• Define product/system maintenance and lifecycle requirements in order to maintain consistent member experience across all Life Time destinations. Work with IT Asset Management to determine inventory requirements for support and maintenance of new systems and with Field Services for lifecycle refresh requirements going forward.
• Define and develop all configuration standards and requirements for both pre-configuration of devices that can be completed by implementation partners and on-site configuration requirements. Disseminate all updated configuration specification, processes, and requirements to strategic A/V implementation partners. Develop systems to keep all configuration information and requirements up to date consistent across all people involved in A/V system installations and support.
• Work with the rest of the A/V team to support the repair or installation of all A/V systems when Tier 3 or Tier 4 expertise is needed to solve problems or get equipment operating to its full capability.
• Help create support documentation for A/V systems including Asset Records, Control Flow Diagrams, Rack-Layouts, Troubleshooting Processes, and Room Designs

Position Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience of design and high-level implementations
• Experience with CAD/drafting software
• Self-motivated leader that can work independently on projects, as well as a team player working towards a common goal
• Excellent communication skills
• Adapts quickly to changes in business requirements
• Ability to read and distinguish architectural blueprints
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations
• Strong organization skills and multi-tasking ability
• Ability to train cross functional teams in support procedures to deliver on service standards
• Must have demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good documentation skills, including the ability to prepare simple documentation are highly desirable.
• Polished presentation and communication skills are required, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of applications, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to measure and communicate key performance indicators to both customers and managers.
• Must be able to support a flexible schedule
• Ability to travel occasionally, as needed
• Avixa (CTS-D) or 5 years of experience
• Avixa (CTS-I) or 5 years of experience

Preferred Requirements

• Understanding and experience with HTML and/or Wiki
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree

Pay
This is a salaried position starting at $64,000.00 and pays up to $88,000.00, based on experience and qualifications.
