Position Summary
As a Project Engineer based on site, you will assist our Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager and Superintendent in ensuring that the project will be high quality, on schedule, on budget, safe, and promote teamwork, communication, leadership and customer satisfaction.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages Requests for Information (RFIs) including drafting, distributing to proper consultant or architect, soliciting responses from responsible party and issuing confirming RFI for all verbal directives to make project changes
- Manages plan updates and distribution including Construction Change Directives (CCDs), Bulletins, and Addendums with the Design
- Reviews and understands all subcontracts and assists Superintendent and Project Manager in enforcing all subcontracts appropriately
- Assists the Project Manager in project closeout and ensure all warranties and closeout documents are submitted properly and timely
- Ensures the Project Manager receives all proposals for change orders and assists the Project Manager in reviewing, processing, and approving applicable change orders
- Assists the Project Manager in review of Division 1 invoicing with site team and reviews of Subcontractor payment applications as required
- Communicates all safety audits, incident or injury reports, and correction notices as required
- Supports the Field Engineer in monitoring safety equipment and sign levels and requests additional if needed from Project Manager as required
- Receives, reviews, coordinates, obtains proper approvals and distributes project submittals to subcontractors and suppliers
- Assists in the scheduling, delivery and installation of owner procured materials and equipment to ensure a quality installation
