Position Summary
The LifeCafe is seeking an experienced full time event coordinator and manager. This position requires successful partnering with the Department Leader team, strong member engagement skills, ability to maintain an organized office environment and initiative to establish strong communication with the LifeCafe Leader. This position is also periodically responsible for basic manager on duty tasks in the absence of another manager on the floor.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Manages all aspects of events from initial client prospecting to successful event execution and billing
Performs active outreach in the community including developing relationships with members, guests and team members
Partners with club managers and restaurant management to develop member events and promos
Oversees restaurant operations in the absence of another restaurant manager
Ensures events are set up and food is delivered on time
Sends and receives contracts, charge all events and maintain up to date files for events and inquiries
Delivers food to offsite events or arrange delivery from another person as needed
Works with corporate team, restaurant managers and chefs to maintain catering menu and develop custom menus
Position Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
2 to 3 years of related work experience
ServSafe Food Manager within 30 days of hire
CPR/First Aid within 90 days of hire
Excellent customer service skills
Active listening skills
Time Management skills
Effective communication
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Outlook
- Some knowledge of food nutrition
- Knowledge of professional kitchen environments
- Ability to respond quickly to event inquiries
- Understand budgets, costs and pricing structures
