What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master Swim Instructor position at Life Time?
Position Summary
The Master Instructor is a lead Instructor in their club and known nationally for their high talent level. They mentor and train new Instructors and assist with continuing education sessions.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Manager by having new Instructors shadow their classes.
- Mentor underperforming Swim Instructors (those who score less than 80% on an eval)
- Complete, Assist, and Co-Lead Continuing Education Session
- Teach Swim Lessons, atleast two shifts per week. Must have consistent attendance consistently score a 93% or higher.
Position Requirements
- Working towards a High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
- Lifeguard & CPR Certified
- Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs
- Successfully complete and pass all Life Time courses upon hire
- CPR and First Aid certification within 60 days of hire
Preferred Requirements
- Swim lesson instruction or coaching experience
Pay
This is an hourly position with wages starting at $17.75 and pays up to $24.00, based on experience and qualifications.Benefits
