Position Summary
The Sr. Retail Analyst will be responsible for providing planning, forecasting, and analytical support for Life Time’s growing retail business. The ideal candidate will combine retail knowledge, financial savvy, strong analytical skills, and a collaborative approach to analyze micro- and macro-level trends, optimize inventory purchasing and management, and offer strategic insights to retail leaders.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Maintain SKU-level forecasts to guide purchasing and inventory management decisions
- Drive the ongoing design, development, deployment, and maintenance of retail performance reports
- Prepare, submit, and maintain annual and monthly budgets and forecasts. Lead root cause variance analysis between forecast and actual results.
- Partner on assortment planning. Advocate discontinuing existing offerings and identify market opportunities as relevant
- Consult on promotional offers, including pricing and inventory support
- Collaborate with various corporate leaders to drive business improvement through unstructured problem solving
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of basic accounting and finance principles
- Ability to follow through on deliverables with attention to detail amid multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to navigate unstructured problem solving
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field
Years of Experience:
- 3 years of experience in an analytical role, with 2 years in a Retail capacity
Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:
- n/a
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demand planning experience
- Experience with DOMO, Alteryx, Tableau, or similar analytical platform
- Experience with relational databases
- Experience driving process improvement, specifically related to data integrity and data pipeline efforts
- Comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities
