- Provides all aspects of secretarial support for the departmental operations, including but not limited to answering phone calls, and managing the front office.
- Greets vendors, customers, students, and other visitors in a friendly, approachable, and professional manner and ensures that they are escorted to the appropriate areas.
- Responsible for departmental mail delivery and distribution.
- Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
- Attends and maintains meeting minutes for departmental meetings during the Administrative Assistant II absence.
- Organizes and maintains the central filing system for the department files both electronic and hard copy.
- Responsible for opening and closing the department daily.
- Maintains neat, clean, professional appearance as directed by University policy.
- Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as assigned by the Director/Supervisor.
