Job Description:
The Director of Clinical Education supports the mission and vision of Life University, the College of Chiropractic, and the Life University Clinics, while working in collaboration to direct all aspects of the development, implementation, promotion, and administration of clinical educational programs; to include clinic course management, student clinic management, educational outcomes assessment, curriculum scheduling/planning, intern communications and skills development, and educational support.
Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements, and manages a comprehensive clinical competency assessment program (Intern Qualitative Assessment program) to ensure meeting all CCE meta-competency outcomes.
- Supervise Campus Center for Health & Optimum Performance (CCHOP) faculty clinicians and pre-clinic preparation courses.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates clinical education methodologies and assessment instruments.
- Responsible for all assigned CLIN courses and coordinating with all applicable areas of the college, as appropriate.
- Responsible for oversight of the Clinic Staff in coordination with the clinic project coordinator, including organizing training, evaluation, scheduling, coordination with Director of Clinics and faculty, and problem resolution.
- Works closely with Academic Affairs to integrate educational policy/procedure.
- Plans, directs, coordinates, and presents educational workshops, retreats, events, and other activities associated with the development and implementation of clinical education or assessment.
- Organizes resources, analyzes and solve problems, establishes priorities, and makes evaluative judgments.
- Sets and maintains a standard of professionalism in chiropractic clinical education.
- Maintains and develops personal clinical and educational expertise.
- Utilizes working knowledge of adult and clinical education and communication principles and techniques.
- Provides input to and receives direction from university and college administrators or other groups as needed.
- Provides management reports as necessary and requested.
- Serves on appropriate committees as necessary and requested.
- Supervise and evaluates assigned faculty and/or staff within University process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Training and/or Experience
- Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from an accredited program.
- Current license in the state of Georgia, or eligible for license.
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in related area and/or college administration
- Demonstrated expertise in planning, development, implementation, and/or assessment of professional health care curriculum outcomes.

Advanced degree in education or related area of study is preferred.
