Position Summary
Life University seeks a visionary and accomplished leader to serve as Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA). Reporting directly to the President, the VPAA will be a strategic partner and advocate for academic excellence, innovation, and student success. The successful candidate will provide leadership to all academic colleges, Student Administrative Services, IE/IR, Registrar, LRC, CETL, marketing and drive initiatives that advance the University's mission. The position will begin on July 1st, 2025 with the potential to transition starting at an earlier date.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of academic strategies that align with Life University's mission and strategic goals.
- Oversee academic policies, curriculum development, accreditation, and assessment processes.
- Provide leadership to deans, faculty, and staff across all academic units.
- Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement in teaching, research, and service.
- Ensure a robust and inclusive academic environment that supports diversity, equity, and belonging.
- Manage academic budgeting and resource allocation in alignment with institutional priorities.
- Foster relationships with external accrediting bodies and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
- Advocate for faculty development, scholarly activity, and academic initiatives that enhance student success.
- Collaborate with other university leaders to address institutional challenges and seize opportunities for growth.

Qualifications
Qualifications
- A terminal degree from an accredited institution, preferably in a discipline related to the University's academic programs.
- Significant experience in academic leadership, preferably at the level of Dean, Associate VP, or higher.
- A track record of advancing academic excellence, innovation, and student outcomes.
- Deep knowledge of accreditation processes, academic policies, and higher education trends.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead and manage in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
- Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive academic community.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with health sciences, wellness, or chiropractic education.
- Familiarity with online and hybrid learning models.
- Demonstrated success in securing external funding or managing grants.
- A strong commitment to the mission, values, and culture of Life University.
