Job Title: Program Assistant- In- Home PCA & ABI Department: In-Home PCA & ABI
Reports To: Program Manager In -Home PCA & ABI
FLSA: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
The Program Assistant - In-Home PCA and ABI will be responsible for scheduling, case management, and occasionally filling in for PCA shifts. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and a commitment to providing quality in-home care services.
BASIC FUNCTIONS AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Service Coordination and Support
Provide on the job training to PCAs
Provide participants with support as outlined in their care plan
Provide fill-in support as needed for open PCA shifts
Maintain daily PCA schedules and actively work to fill open shifts
Assist with new participant paperwork
Enter participant and PCA information into data base
Review, audit and upload files into data base
Manage the on-call phone on a rotating schedule
Document all contacts with participants in appropriate databases participant documentation is accurate, thorough, and completed in a timely manner according to agency standards, service, accreditation, and regulatory authority requirements.
Provide services in accordance with regulatory authority requirements, funding source requirements, accreditation requirements, and legal requirements.
Report suspected instances of abuse, neglect, or exploitation to the appropriate state department in accordance with agency standards and law.
Assess customer satisfaction by conducting participant satisfaction surveys or other required methods.
Effectively and efficiently use computers or mobile devices to input, access, modify, or output information. This includes the ability to quickly access, store and retrieve data.
Assist in completing at minimum 10 TAP Demonstrations and AT demonstrations annually
Provide support to individuals that have interest in transitioning from long term care facilities to private homes by providing options counseling, recourse guidance ,facilitating moves, and follow ups.

Provide support and backup for the front desk, as needed.

Maintain participant confidentiality as required by law
Physical Expectations
This position requires extended periods of walking and standing with some periods of sitting which are dependent upon the needs and activities of the individuals supported. It may require light to heavy lifting, up to fifty pounds independently, and occasional stooping, kneeling, bending, and/or climbing stairs depending on the needs of the individual supported.
The position will require occasional physical intervention if confronted by a person displaying combative or potentially dangerous behavior.
Working Conditions
Office/home environment with noises from appliances, telephones, and occasional small machinery (lawn mower, etc.). May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens and/or infectious diseases. Occasionally, prolonged hours or unusual chores to meet the unexpected needs of the individuals (i.e., medical and/or behavioral).
QUALIFICATIONS
Be at least 18 years of age and provide proof of high school diploma or G.E.D.
Experience with scheduling, direct care and case management preferred
Must be able to communicate effectively in English both in writing and orally.
Must not have been convicted of any disqualifying felony and must not have been substantiated for abuse or neglect in the state of Missouri, as recorded by the Department of Mental Healths Employee Disqualification List.
Must have reliable transportation for transporting clients.
Must demonstrate safe practices in all areas and exemplify positive professional standards.
Must obtain a Class E drivers license during new hire orientation must carry minimum coverage applicable by law for auto insurance
Must Receive Seasonal Flu Vaccination
