A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL
As a Direct Support Professional, you make a positive impact on the life of an incredible individual. You help our client get to and from work where he performs clerical and administrative tasks. He is autistic, so your experience with people on the spectrum is invaluable as you help her excel in his job. As you assist him, you love seeing him achieve a deeper, more meaningful life, one he has designed for herself. One of your biggest rewards is the friendship of this kind and gentle soul. QUALIFICATIONS
To excel in this role, you need to be compassionate and empathetic. Your ability to actively listen, understand, and advocate for our clients' needs is crucial. A genuine passion for making a difference and the willingness to be an active participant in his journey are key traits.
You also need to meet the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Willingness to learn and let go of preconceived notions about what is possible for people with developmental disabilities
- Valid driver's license
- Insured and operational vehicle to use for this position

WORK SCHEDULE
At Life Works, we support individuals 24 hours a day, and while we don't have a "typical" schedule, we are currently looking for someone who can fill one or more of these shifts:
Saturday - 8 AM - 4 PM
Saturday - 4 PM - 9 PM
Sunday - 4 PM - 9 PM
