Salary Range : One PT One Per diem Driver NeededJob Purpose / Function : (the main contribution of the function to the total organization.)To correctly pack and deliver meals to clients in a safe and timely manner. To report significant changes in client's physical, emotional or social conditions.Major Responsibilities : Load containers in van each morningPick up meals at preparation site, packing them according to the provided daily packing listsAlert office staff of changes in clients' statusDeliver meals to prearranged volunteer drop off points and / or to individual recipients not served by volunteersRespect client confidentialityKeep accurate records of meal temperatures, gasoline purchases, vehicle inspectionsClean containers and vehicles dailyAlert Team Leader to vehicle maintenance needs; take van to service garage for maintenanceAttend driver meetingsCooperate with representatives from the State and Area Agency when they monitor Agencys program activities.Perform appropriate duties as designated by the Team Leader, Operations Manager or Program Director.Adhere to Agency policies and proceduresDeliver appropriate material to clients as assignedEducation and Experience Required : Current, valid driver's license and safe driving recordClean criminal historyGood physical healthAbility to work cooperatively with staff and volunteers of the programPhysical Requirements : Frequent sitting and ability to talk and hear. Frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, crouch and kneel. The member must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. The member will be required to travel locally by vehicle, work in an office setting sitting behind a computer, as well as interact with clients. Required to be free from communicable diseases and work closely with clients.Work Environment : The noise level in the work environment is typical of any residential setting / outpatient treatment facility and ranges from low to high. Frequent interaction with individuals in the program and community.
