Performs all secretarial. Clerical functions for the Admissions department. Acts as an assistant within the Admissions suite and takes referrals. Takes referrals from outside sources, exhibits excellent guest relations in dealing with the public and staff, and performs various duties and responsibilities in supportive position to the Director, Admissions Coordinator and the liaison nurses.
Responsibilities
Works in conjunction with other staff members to ensure efficient and effective operation of the office. Places, receives and screens telephone calls; determines nature of call and provides general information, referring more complex calls to other team members. Greets, screens and directs visitors. Meets with families or patients to sign admission paperwork on day of admission or within 24 hours of admission. Follows up with families or patients on unsigned paperwork. Keeps office in orderly manner. Performs clerical and data entry as directed by the manager or their designee. Retrieves, sorts and distributes incoming mail. Maintains office supplies, prepares inventory and purchase orders. Routes paperwork to Units when asked. Ensures adequate supply of admission packets
Experience: Required: * 1-3 years
Education: Required: High School / GED
