What are the responsibilities and job description for the IV ACCESS NURSE - PRN position at LifeBridge Health?
JOB SUMMARY:
Under limited supervision, is responsible for coordinating vascular access needs of all patients (Pediatric through Geriatric). Functions as a resource to the organization, meeting the needs and requests of the nursing and provider staff. Responsible for assisting with the development of policies and procedures related to vascular access.
*This is a PRN position that will be scheduled as needed for the 11:00am - 11:30pm shift.*
REQUIREMENTS:
- Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field
- BSN preferred
- 1-3 years’ experience with ultrasound IV starts required
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse, Registered to practice in Maryland
- American Heart Association BLS Certification
