What are the responsibilities and job description for the MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST - POINT OF CARE TESTING position at LifeBridge Health?
Position Summary:
Coordinates, processes data, and reports on all lab testing that occurs outside of the department. Assures compliance with all requirements of licensing, accrediting, and regulatory agencies.
Assures compliance with all regulatory agencies including DHMH, TJC, CLIA, and CAP in regards to quality control, test performance and operator competency.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree; working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of previous experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist
- Education Discipline: BS - Medical Technologist or Medical laboratory Scientist
- American Society for Clinical Pathology – ASCP – Certified MT or MLS
