LifeBridge Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Charge Nurse RN III to join our High Intensity Care Unit (HICU) team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, mentoring and guiding staff members, and contributing to the overall success of our hospital.
About the High Intensity Care Unit
The HICU is a 20-bed semi-private unit that provides care for patients with complex medical needs, including those requiring respiratory assistance, special monitoring, or acute rehabilitation. Our team takes a collaborative approach to delivering high-quality care, with a focus on preventing complications and improving patient outcomes.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Mentor and support nursing staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent patient care
- Develop and implement patient teaching plans to promote health education and empowerment
- Collaborate with the Education Resource Center to identify unit-based educational opportunities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Serve as a facilitator and coordinator of educational and competency validation activities
- Assist in effective management of human and material resources
Requirements:
- Formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college)
- 1-3 years of experience as a registered nurse in a critical care setting
- BLS certification and Maryland Registered Nurse License
- ACLS certification for application to telemetry
