Summary
This PRN position requires day, evening and weekend shifts. On an emergency basis, you may be required to work night shift.
JOB SUMMARY
Works with pharmacists to prepare medications, screen prescriptions and supply patients with correctly filled medication orders. Performs tasks involved with storage, distribution, packaging and labeling of drugs. Completes associated record keeping and charging activities. Works under the supervision of a pharmacist. Participates in performance improvement activities within Pharmacy and with outside departments to identify and rectify problems. Performs one of the specialized functions described in the job description as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS
- Preferred High School Diploma
- 2-4 years Pharmacy experience Preferred
- 2-4 years Hospital pharmacy experience Preferred
- PTCB - Certified Pharmacy Tech
- PTSR - Pharmacy Tech State Registration
- BLS - Basic Life Support
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Good customer service skills and work habits are required. Attend CE meetings or accomplish necessary CE to retain certification Strong patient communication skills require, in person and via telephone.
