JOB SUMMARY:
Grants Management & Compliance
- Oversee financial reporting and compliance for federal, state, and private grants.
- Monitor grant expenditures to ensure alignment with budgets and funding requirements.
- Prepare and submit financial reports for grants, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
- Assist with grant applications and budget proposals.
General Ledger & Financial Operations
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Record journal entries, including grant revenue recognition and expense accruals.
- Perform monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and organizational policies.
- Assist in developing and improving internal financial controls.
Bank Reconciliation & Cash Management
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and financial records.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure appropriate fund allocations.
Financial Statements & Reporting
- Prepare monthly financial statements.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition and expense allocation for grants.
- Reconcile grant accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Support audit processes, providing necessary schedules and explanations.
- Assist in the preparation of IRS Form 990 and ensure compliance with nonprofit tax requirements.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in developing annual budgets, including grant-specific budgets.
- Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree; working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field
- 3-5 years of experience
Salary range $70K to $83K dependent on experience and internal equity
