Insurance Credentialing Specialist (Behavioral Health)
Position: Full-time, Fully Remote
Compensation: $50,000 annually
Overview: We are seeking an experienced Insurance Credentialing Specialist to join our behavioral health organization. The ideal candidate brings 3-5 years of credentialing experience with commercial insurance plans, including expertise with Medicare and Tricare. Strong payer relations skills, analytical mindset, and ability to forecast credentialing opportunities will directly support our organization's continued growth and quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the credentialing and re-credentialing processes with commercial insurers, Medicare, and Tricare.
- Maintain proactive payer relations to ensure timely and efficient credentialing.
- Analyze and forecast credentialing trends and opportunities within the insurance industry.
- Collaborate effectively with department leads to streamline credentialing procedures.
- Navigate and utilize various insurance portals efficiently.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation within our mental health Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of insurance credentialing experience for mental health therapists.
- Demonstrated credentialing experience specifically within behavioral health highly preferred.
- Proven experience with Medicare and Tricare credentialing processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and respond to industry trends.
- Proficiency in using insurance portals and credentialing software.
- Hands-on experience with mental health-specific EMR systems.
- Ability to independently manage workflow and prioritize tasks effectively.
