Non-Emergency Medical Transport Driver

Life Care is a fast-growing Non-Emergency Medical Transportation company providing services in and around the Toledo, Lucas County. If you are compassionate about helping others and enjoy spending your day driving, this position is the PERFECT fit for you!

Responsibilities:

• Provide supports and maintain client safety and well-being
• Provide safe and timely transportation to required destinations.
• Fosters positive relationships between caretakers and individuals served.
• Ensures client safety and maintaining a safe environment.
• Navigate GPS device to ensure on time arrivals and pick-ups.
• Assist clients, as needed, in and out of facility or home into transport vehicle.
• Participate in ongoing trainings and certification to ensure compliance with rules and regulations for the agency.
• Maintain daily recordkeeping for NMT services.
• Drive, park and retrieve guest’s cars in a safe and courteous manner
• Wash the windshield on each car we park
• Report any possible major unusual incidents (MUI) in accordance with MUI reporting guidelines
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Professionalism and respect towards the individuals we serve.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity working with and adapting to technology for access of schedules and GPS navigation.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Frequent sitting, standing, bending, walking, climbing in and out of transport vehicle.
• Must be able to lift and maneuver minimum of 35-80 lbs.
• Flexible schedule as there will be some early/weekend/evenings work required.
• Must be familiar with a Smart Phone.
• Strong work ethic.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to successfully pass state mandated BCI/FBI and Drug screen.
• Relevant industry/driving experience preferred but not a must have
• Open to driving long distances

Pay: $26,880 - $48,384

Schedule

· Monday – Friday

· Occasional Saturday’s

· 1st shift and 2nd shifts

Experience

· Driving: 2 years (preferred)

Willingness to travel
