Job Purpose
The Supportive Employment Specialist will work with individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses that have indicated that employment is one of their goals. The Supportive Employment Specialist will assist individuals with serious mental illness in discovering paths of self-sufficiency and recovery rather than disability and dependence. The Supportive Employment Specialist will work directly with the local office of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) to make referrals for employment. The Supportive Employment Specialist will assist with any required paperwork that must be completed and sent to VR. Supportive Employment Specialist will be mobile and develop relationships with local community providers for possible employment opportunities. Supportive Employment Specialist will conduct ongoing assessment with individuals that achieve employment to ensure that the individual is keeping scheduled Mental Health appointments, following medication regimen, and monitoring symptom triggers for relapse prevention. The Supportive Employment Specialist will offer on-going support to the individual to ensure that employment is maintained.
Primary Duties
The Supportive Employment Specialist job duties include, but are not limited to:
· Demonstrating a working knowledge of Lifecore Policies and Procedures and DMH Operational Standards pertaining to position.
· Ensure Quality Assurance with systematic monitoring and evaluation of the various aspects of service documentation to ensure that standards of quality are being met.
· Provide Quality Customer Service: care of service recipients by ensuring provision and delivery of professional, helpful, high quality service.
· Work directly with outpatient staff to coordinate needed services for individuals
· Promoting positive outcomes for individuals living with mental health or co-occurring behavioral health conditions.
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
· Certification/Licensure prior to or upon employment
· Interpersonal skills necessary to establish professional relationships with clients and staff
· Meet requirements for continued certification and certification upgrade throughout employment

Pay: From $29,000.00 per year
