Behavior Technician
Lifecraft ABA is hiring paraprofessional staff to work with children, and teens diagnosed with Autism. Experience is preferred but not required. Training resources are available to help all staff in the delivery of skill building programs.
Lifecraft ABA is committed to delivering quality, individualized therapeutic services based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Behavior Technicians are responsible for the direct delivery of behavioral services with clients. We offer frequent and detailed supervision for all of our Behavior Technicians. Listed here are some of the responsibilities of a Behavior Technician:
- Provide direct 1:1 ABA-based services at a client’s home or other relevant location
- Teach skills based on individual assessments targeting communicative, social, behavioral, or daily living goals
- Maintain a positive relationship with clients, family members, other professional, and other colleagues
- Generalize skills with family members or other relevant people
- Train parents and other relevant people to implement teaching procedures
- Effectively apply behavior change strategies to minimize interfering behavior
- Regularly collect data to track client progress on skills
- Complete required paperwork including daily session notes
- Organize and help to create teaching materials
- Collaborate with supervisors, providing and receiving feedback to optimize programs and procedures
Requirements:
- Reliable means of transportation
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential preferred but not required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
- High School Diploma/ GED
- Prior training or experience with ABA-based techniques preferred
- Good rapport with children required
- Prior experience working with individuals with special needs preferred
- Effective spoken and written communication skills
- A willingness to learn ABA-based procedures, work at applying them with clients, and to be a part of a team
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 12 per week
