Position:
Medical Assistant (Part-Time, 8-16 hours/week to start)
Job Description:
As a Medical Assistant, you will be a key part of the Lifefire team, performing both clinical and administrative duties. The role will require flexibility, as you'll be handling everything from front office tasks to patient care and lab draws. This position will start with 8-12 hours per week, with the opportunity for more hours as the clinic continues to grow. Evening availability until 6 or 7 PM is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform lab draws, handle specimens, and assist with lab processing
- Take and record vital signs, patient history, and other relevant information
- Assist in patient consultations, ensuring a smooth and positive experience
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, phone calls, and patient check-ins
- Maintain clean and organized exam rooms and equipment
- Ensure all patient documentation is accurately completed and filed
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a welcoming environment for all patients
Requirements:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred but not required
- Phlebotomy skills a plus
- Ability to multitask and handle both clinical and front-office responsibilities
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor
- Flexibility to work evening hours (until 6 or 7 PM)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Willingness to learn and grow with the clinic; thorough training will be provided
