What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) position at LifeHealth, LLC?
LifeHealth, LLC, a federal government contractor, is seeking Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants) to support Arizona Army National Guard State Surgeon Office and Medical Detachment.
SERVICES ARE NEEDED:
- Part time, PRN, and On-Call
- Friday-Sunday once per month (8 hours/day for a total of 24 hours)
- Wednesdays twice per month (8 hours/day for a total of 16 hours)
- Day and Weekend shifts
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Advise Commanders on duty limitations associated with a medical/BH issues.
- Physical evaluation Board Narrative Summary.
- Synchronization of case management efforts.
- Temporary/Permanent profile evaluation. Reviews Soldiers medical documentation and advise case managers.
- Convalescent leave determination. Inputs Convalescent leave into appropriate database.
- Medical board (PEB/MEB) synchronization.
- PHA/SRP/PDA/State Active Duty evaluation.
- EKG, lab and other diagnostic imaging interpretation.
- Provide health and wellness education in addition to lab and other diagnostic exam results.
- Immunization program consultant.
- Must be available to work on all scheduled weekday PHA/SRP dates.
- Follow the regulations and policies applicable to Individual Medical Readiness (IMR) and deployment, to include the AR 40-501, AR 40-502, DA PAM 40-501, AR 40-562, PPG, MODS 15 and updates, AR 40-66, AR 40-3, 40-68 and other applicable guidance.
- Maintain Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) standards and guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have an active, unrestricted Arizona advanced practice provider license.
- Must be able to get and maintain credentialing with the Arizona Army National Guard.
- 2 years prior experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Primary Care of Emergency Medicine.
- Previous military service encouraged but not required.
- CPR/ BLS certification required (AHA BLS or ACLS, ARC CPR/BLS, or (ASHI) CPR and AED)
- Must be able to obtain a Tier 1 government clearance.
Nurse Practitioner:
- Candidates must have an unrestricted, current Registered Nurse license and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license valid in the location in which duty will be performed. A temporary license will not be accepted.
- Board Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) Certification, National Certification Corporation (NCC) certification, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB), or the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) is required and must be maintained, and all obligations fulfilled.
Physician Assistant
- Candidates must have an unrestricted, current license as a Physician Assistant valid in the location in which the duty will be performed/located. Any license changes must immediately be reported to the employer. A temporary license will not be accepted.
- Board Certification as a Physician Assistant by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or National Commission on Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA) is preferred. Certification must be maintained if required as part of licensure for the state licensing authority.
