We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated programs professional to join our team and to continue our mission of promoting dignity and independence through person centered thinking.
What you will be doing:
Programming and Advocacy
- Coordinating the implementation of the Individual Program Plan (IPP) of individuals served with an emphasis on dignity and independence, skill acquisition, the cultivation of meaningful relationships, and maximizing quality of life.
- Collaborating with Lifehouse Autism Specialists, Regional Center, families when appropriate, and all relevant members of the interdisciplinary team to provide optimal services for individuals served.
- Providing advocacy for individuals served as well as for the population of people with developmental disabilities as a whole and the service provider system of California.
- Performing Bi-weekly site visits, maintinating coverage and handling emergency situations, and provide broad support do individuals served in developing self-advocacy skills.
- Overseeing fiscal engagements including annual budgeting, budget oversight, timesheet approvals, and monthly billing input and submissions.
Health and Documentation
- Overseeing effective support to promote health and safety for individuals served, including proper medication administration, encouraging a healthy diet and overall lifestyle, disaster preparation, teaching safety protocols at home and in the community, etc.
- Maintaining regular, timely, responsive and relevant communication with the individuals served; Lifehouse staff, supervisors, family members when appropriate and colleagues; Regional Center; with any other stakeholders or members of the individual’s interdisciplinary team, when appropriate.
- Overseeing and engaging with the QA Specialist in the maintenance of all appropriate documentation regarding individuals served including current medical needs and medical histories.
- Developing new trainings for staff working in conjunction with the Staff Development Specialist and with QA / PCT Specialist on PCT education.
- Providing training, supervision, guidance, and feedback to Assistant Managers and Counselors including performance evaluations as needed.

What you will bring
- At least five years of professional experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, preferably in a residential setting.
- At least three years of experience supervising staff.
- For Managers of Autism specific services: be trained in the TEACCH Autism Program (if not at point of hire, must be willing and able to be trained).
- Strong management skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse organization, maintaining a positive work environment and leading change through teamwork.
- B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to harness new technologies.
- Able to lift more than 50 pounds.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year depending on experience

- Driver's License plus 2 years driving experience (Required)
