Chemours is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Expert, North America to join our growing Product Sustainability team. This position will be available at the Wilmington, DE location and report directly to the Regulatory Compliance Manger - Americas. The Regulatory Compliance Expert, North America is responsible for leading and managing critical compliance projects as part of a subject matter expert team in Corporate Product Sustainability supporting all businessesThe role includes raising risks and issues, developing solutions, and driving results towards an implementation timeline.

The individual must have solid knowledge of and experience with U.S. TSCA, including Sections 4, 5, 6, and 8. The individual should have strong communication skills and project management competencies.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following :

  • As a member of the North America Product Sustainability Team primarily responsible for well defined, specific aspects for chemicals regulated under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) by the U.S. EPA and under the Canadian Environmental Protections Act (CEPA) by Environment and Climate Change Canada
  • Responsible and accountable for managing complex obligations
  • Working collaboratively across functions, including but not limited to product sustainability, product stewardship, product management, operations, technology, procurement, legal, and government affairs to meet compliance requirements
  • Liaising with and managing relationships with external parties and stakeholders
  • Translating requests from internal partners towards current and proposed regulatory requirements
  • Responding to regulatory compliance inquiries and performing periodic reviews and evaluations to validate compliance with applicable regulations
  • Monitoring, conducting impact assessments, and communicating regulatory changes relevant to Chemours products to internal partners
  • Monitoring business activities to verify regulatory compliance deadlines and requirements are met
  • Contributing to the development of regulatory recommendations and decisions to relevant stakeholders
  • Creating and delivering training to business unit stakeholders to increase their regulatory awareness
  • Maintaining comprehensive project documentation

The Following Is Required For This Role

  • 5 years U.S. TSCA compliance work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field
  • Track record of successful regulatory submissions
  • Ability to provide information to a variety of audiences effectively
  • Proven excellent project management skills and tools
  • Ability to support a complex product portfolio for an international company
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Results oriented individual
  • Ability to lead through influence
  • The Following Is Preferred For This Role

  • Interested in expanding role and responsibility in the regulatory compliance field
  • Previous experience working with chemical regulations under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA)
  • Previous experience working with SAP data or large regulatory data sets

    Pay Range (in Local Currency) $105,280.00 - $164,500.00

    Chemours Level 26

    Annual Bonus Target 11%
