Senior Principal Electrical Engineer - Consultant Lumentum (NASDAQ : LITE) is a global leader in innovative optical and photonic products enabling optical networking and commercial laser customers worldwide. Lumentum's optical components and subsystems are part of virtually every type of telecom, enterprise, and data center network. Lumentum's commercial lasers enable advanced manufacturing techniques and diverse applications including next-generation 3D sensing capabilities.
We are looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer in power electronics and control systems for the Commercial Lasers research and development group. This position consults the R&D teams in the development of high-power electronics for the all related product developments. It includes close collaboration with the program managers, design leads and direct manager.
Responsibilities Include
- Develop product specifications, schedules and roadmaps.
- Design system architectures for new products and product lines
- Design control systems in both continuous and discrete domains to meet rigorous stability and rise / fall specifications.
- Circuit design and evaluation : analog, digital, power supplies, programmable devices.
- Schematic capture and PCB layout.
- Develop test plans and perform design verification testing
- Resolve complex signal integrity and EMC problems
- Collaborate with NPI teams to document and release all aspects of design to production.

Pay Range P80-USA-1 : $138,600.00 - $198,000.00
