Overview
As the Payroll Administrator, you will process and oversee the organization’s payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. You will also process and oversee Paycom changes in assistance with Human Resources functions.
Responsibilities
- Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Works closely with scheduling and department coordinators to review time and attendance and edits in an employee’s working hours.
- Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Working knowledge of federal/state/local tax regulations in a multistate environment.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage and hour laws, and best practices.
- Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
- Issues, or reissues physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge.
- Attend industry trade shows and educational seminars.
- Prepare and process bi-weekly payments for 401K, worker’s compensation, and HSA contributions.
- Responsible for Paycom change requests in collaboration with Human Resources team.
- Assist with monthly review of internal Paycom audits and reports.
- Perform other special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Business, Administration, Human Resources, or related field.-Two to four years related experience in similar role -Knowledge of Paycom preferred, but not required
-Knowledge of Human Resources and general understanding of Human Resources functions
-Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
