MAJOR DUTIES: The VP of Clinical Services works under the direction of the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO). This position is responsible for managing and supporting clinical staffing and operations for continuity to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient service delivery across all programs within our continuum. As the VP of Clinical Services at Lifeline Connections, you will play a key role in fulfilling the duties listed below while exemplifying our core values and principles.

  1. Provide initial orientation and training of Program Directors in the Clinical Dept.
  2. Support training programs and professional development initiatives to equip staff with the skills needed for integrated care delivery.
  3. Act as an advocate for patient-centered care by resolving and addressing patient grievances in collaboration with quality and the program director.
  4. Maintain positive relationship between and work closely with HR and Program Directors to recruit, onboard, and retain skilled clinical staff, ensuring adequate coverage and continuity of care across departments. Attend job fairs and maintain collaborative relationships with college/university programs to recruit and refer graduates to Lifeline Connections.
  5. Manage recruitment dashboard for clinical dept. in ADP, manage screening of candidates, facilitate panel interviews for Program Directors, etc.
  6. Coordinate ongoing education, training, and certification programs to ensure that clinical staff stay current with best practices, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  7. Ensure clinical dept. staff are in compliance and up to date with appropriate credentials.
  8. Develop and enforce policies related to clinical staff practices and documentation, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations and well as internal policies and standards.
  9. Identify areas for improvement in clinical practices, implementing and monitoring quality improvement initiatives.
  10. Coordinate and ensure effective communication and coordination among clinical teams to facilitate continuity of care, patient safety, ongoing treatment access, positive referral relationships, and positive patient experiences.
  11. Address conflicts or issues among clinical program staff by providing support to the program directors to mediate and maintain a positive and collaborative work environment.
  1. Supervises Program Directors, including the performance evaluation process.  Initiate progressive discipline with approval by the CCO and initiate termination, with approval of the Chief Clinical Officer and Chief Executive Officer.
  1. Assist the Chief Clinical Officer with developing, implementing, and training staff on clinical protocols while maintaining the highest standard of clinical practice. Preparing and/or presenting in-service training that meets the needs of the changing trends in substance use and mental health treatment and in compliance with regulatory codes and laws.
  2. Develops, plans, and implements goals and objectives for clinical programs, recommends and administers department policies and procedures.
  3. Directs, oversees, and participates in the development and implementation of the agency’s strategic plan.
  4. Assists in the development and implementation of new programs and services as assigned by the Chief Clinical Officer.
  5. Is available after hours for on-call support to ensure that leadership guidance and oversight is available; and
  6. Other duties as assigned.

 

 KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED BY THE POSITION

  1. Possess a master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field.
  2. Have a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in a Behavioral health treatment program.
  3. Have an active SUDP credential and active licensed credential (LASW, LICSW, LMHC, or associate) and at least 5 years of experience as a substance abuse dependency professional in a state approved agency consistent with WAC 246-811 and RCW 18.205.
  4. Meet the minimum qualifications defined under RCW 18.130.180 stating the individual has not committed, permitted, aided, or abetted the commission of an illegal act or unprofessional conduct.
  5. Has documented competency in clinical supervision.

Lifeline Connections strives to be your employer of choice by offering our regular/full-time employees a generous benefits package. Our plans cover 85% of medical, dental, and vision costs at the employee level and 75% for all dependent plans. The majority of out-of-pocket costs (i.e. Co-pays, prescriptions, and deductibles) under our medical plans are also covered. We also offer other benefits, such as: employer paid short term disability, long term disability, life insurance, and supplemental coverage.

Our full-time employees and some part-time employees also qualify for our 401(k) plan that matches dollar for dollar up to 5%. On top of all that, our full-time employees receive approximately 4 weeks of paid time off during their first year of employment (accrual rates increase with years of service), as well as 1 personal holiday and 12 paid holidays per year!

There are many other supplemental benefits we are glad to offer such as tuition reimbursement and discounted cellular service amongst others.

Salary: $95,000-$115,000 Annually DOE
