Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential nursing care to patients in various settings, including long-term care facilities and teaching hospitals. As an LPN, you will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring that patients receive high-quality medical care tailored to their individual needs.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Assist with case management and coordinate patient care plans.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options.
- Perform triage duties, assessing patient needs and prioritizing care accordingly.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health systems such as Athenahealth.
- Assist in sterile processing of medical instruments and equipment.
- Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) in a long-term care setting.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Experience
- Current LPN license in good standing.
- Experience in internal medicine or long-term care preferred.
- Familiarity with case management practices is a plus.
- Previous experience in a teaching hospital setting is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems, particularly Athenahealth, is preferred.
Pay details
- $57.5/hr
- Gross pay- $2,185/weekly
- Day shift- 7:00 AM- 3:30 PM
