- Department: LAB Assistant
- Certs: Do they need BLS (will they have contact w/ patients?): BLS, Lab assistant- Washington MAP license- REQUIRED.
- Do they need to perform Phlebotomy?: yes
- Experience or 'Must have' skills & common job duties: Phlebotomy, specimen processing, centrifuge, waived test performance, some chem/heme/coag machine loading & microbiology set ups, inpatient and outpatient experience. Meditech preferred. POC testing prefer. HIGHLY preferred- the more experience they have with these things, the better.
- LIS System (ie. Polytech, Avalon, Orchard Software, Apollo, Prolis, BioTracer, etc.): Meditech
- EMR/Specific Equipment used in each area?: Meditech
- Lab Manager/Supervisor: Manager- Lab assistant lead
- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): Nights- 7 on, 7 off 10 hour shifts. Other shifts are 8 hour shifts. M-F with rotating weekend. If you are on the weekend, you are off 2 days prior. Day 0530-0930 staggered start times, start times wouldn’t change. Evening- 1230-0230. Variable would be between days and evenings.
- Weekend Requirements: 8 hour shifts- one weekend day every 4-6 weeks. They have some weekend only shifts. Weekend only are 12 hours and would have to do all things in the lab including drawing and running. They would be on their own for about 4 hours.
- Holiday Requirements: If it is on a scheduled day, they are expected to work.
- Call or Standby Call Requirement: No
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Can wear any color of professional scrubs or Khakis and a nice shirt. Closed toe shoes. Lab jacket is supplied.
- Department Specific Orientation: 2-3 days of orientation.
Job Types: Contract, Temporary
Pay: $41.00 - $42.00 per hour
