Job Title: Skilled Nursing RN Charge Nurse (Contract Clinician)
Location: Blackduck, MN 56630
Department: Nursing
Position Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Shift: 6:00pm - 6:30am
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments of residents on admission and throughout the course of care, in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Administer medications, treatments, and other procedures, ensuring accurate documentation in the EMR.
- Complete daily skilled nursing notes and other necessary forms, including incident reports, behavioral documentation, and care updates.
- Monitor and manage pressure ulcers, dehydration, malnutrition, incontinence, and pain, following appropriate care protocols.
- Respond promptly to resident call lights, and assist with resident education, including condition changes and care procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians, family members, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
- Supervise nursing staff and assist with quality improvement audits, corrective actions, and MDS processes.
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards, safety protocols, and care plans.
Position Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of Minnesota.
- BLS certification required.
- Prior experience in a similar nursing role preferred.
- Knowledge of basic nursing skills, therapeutic effects, and side effects of administered medications.
- Willingness to work a holiday rotation and weekends (minimum every third weekend, preferably two on and one off).
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $52.73 - $55.17 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
