Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room team at a Level I Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role requires expertise in infectious disease care, long-term care, and memory care, along with proficiency in aseptic techniques and the use of healthcare systems such as Athenahealth and CT imaging.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department, ensuring adherence to established standards and protocols.
- Assess patient conditions, prioritize needs, and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while monitoring patient responses.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and care provided in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Educate patients and families on health management, disease prevention, and post-discharge care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care delivery.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of emergency nursing principles within a Level I Trauma Center setting.
- Proficiency in managing infectious disease cases effectively.
- Familiarity with long-term care practices and memory care strategies.
- Competence in utilizing healthcare systems such as Athenahealth for patient management.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patient education.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

- 2 years current Emergency Room experience
- ED Triage/Cardiac Room experience preferred
- IV Certification preferred
- Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
- ENPC and CEN preferred
- 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Night shift
