Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the medical team.
- Assist in acute pain management and develop care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care activities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care, including emergency medicine and internal medicine practices.
- Facilitate specimen collection processing and manage laboratory requests as needed.
- Participate in medical imaging procedures when required.
- Ensure compliance with sterile processing protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health management.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in a Medical/Surgical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of emergency medicine, critical care transport, and memory care practices is advantageous.
- Proficient in acute pain management techniques and understanding of internal medicine principles.
- Familiarity with medical records management systems and processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of patient care.
